Ingredients

2 oz fresh pineapple juice

1 oz blanco tequila

1 oz Cointreau (or triple sec)

1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice (about 1 lime)

1 small serrano pepper, thinly sliced (adjust based on desired spiciness)

1/2 oz agave nectar (optional, to taste)

Pinch of sea salt

Lime wedge & chili powder/salt blend for rimming the glass

Ice cubes

Fresh pineapple wedge and serrano pepper slice for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Glass: Begin by rimming your glass. Take a lime wedge and run it around the rim. Then, dip the rim into a mix of chili powder and salt to coat it evenly. Once done, set the glass aside to let the rim set.

Infuse the Tequila (Optional): For an added depth of flavor, consider infusing your tequila. In a small jar, combine 2 oz of tequila with one or two sliced serrano peppers. Seal the jar and allow it to sit for 30 minutes to an hour to infuse. The longer it sits, the spicier it will be. If you're short on time, feel free to omit this step and use fresh serrano slices straight in the shaker.

Mix the Margarita: In a cocktail shaker, pour in the fresh pineapple juice, your choice of tequila (infused or regular), Cointreau, fresh lime juice, sliced serrano pepper, agave nectar (if using), and a pinch of sea salt. Fill the shaker with ice cubes.

Shake It Up: Seal the shaker tightly and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds, ensuring the mixture is well chilled and all ingredients are combined.

Strain and Serve: Prepare your rimmed glass by filling it with fresh ice cubes. Carefully strain the margarita mixture into the glass, letting it flow smoothly over the ice.

Garnish: For a beautiful presentation, add a fresh pineapple wedge on the rim and place a slice of serrano pepper next to it as a garnish.

Enjoy: Serve your Spicy Serrano Pineapple Margarita immediately and savor the delightful blend of tropical sweetness combined with a spicy kick!
