Ingredients

  • 2.0 lbs chicken wings
  • 2.0 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1.0 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1.0 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1.0 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1.0 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1.0 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter
  • 2.0 tablespoons fresh parsley
  • 1.0 none lemon zest
  • 0.5 none lemon juice

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken Wings: Start by placing the chicken wings in a large bowl. Pat them dry with paper towels to ensure they achieve a crispy texture.
  • Season the Wings: Drizzle the olive oil over the wings, and sprinkle the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, thyme, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Toss everything together until the wings are evenly coated with the spices.
  • Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Cook the Wings: Place the seasoned wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd them. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer. Cook for 25-30 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  • Make the Herb Butter: While the wings are cooking, prepare the herb butter. In a medium bowl, mix the softened butter, chopped parsley, lemon zest, and lemon juice until well combined.
  • Toss with Herb Butter: Once the wings are done cooking, carefully transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Add the herb butter and toss the wings until they are thoroughly coated in the buttery herb mixture.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Plate the wings and garnish with additional fresh parsley or lemon wedges if desired. Serve warm and enjoy the smoky, herbal flavors!
