Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup Panko breadcrumbs (for extra crunch)

2 teaspoons dried Italian herb blend (or a mix of oregano, basil, and thyme)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

2 large eggs

2 tablespoons milk

½ cup all-purpose flour

Olive oil, for brushing

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). For easier cleanup, line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Create a Breading Station: Set up three shallow bowls for the breading process:

      - In the first bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until fully combined.

        - In the second bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, Panko breadcrumbs, dried Italian herbs, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

          - Place the all-purpose flour in the third bowl.

Season the Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry using paper towels. Generously season both sides of each breast with salt and freshly ground black pepper, ensuring full flavor.

              Coat the Chicken:

                - Start by dredging each chicken breast in the flour, making sure to shake off any excess flour.

                  - Next, dip the floured chicken into the egg mixture, allowing any extra mixture to drip off.

                    - Finally, press the chicken into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring an even and generous coating.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the coated chicken breasts on the lined baking sheet. Lightly brush the tops with olive oil to promote a beautifully golden and crispy crust during baking.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes. The chicken is ready when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and the crust is golden brown and crispy.

Serve: Once baked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. This helps retain the juices. For a complete meal, serve alongside roasted vegetables or a refreshing salad.

                            Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 45 minutes | Servings: 4

Presentation Tips: For an inviting presentation, arrange the sliced chicken on a platter and garnish with fresh parsley or basil. Accompany with a lemon wedge for an extra touch of flavor.
