Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (approximately 6 ounces each)

1/2 cup pecans, finely chopped

1/4 cup pure maple syrup

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon soy sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped (or 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary)

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Fresh lemon wedges, for serving

Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to simplify the cleanup process.

Prepare the Maple Glaze: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the pure maple syrup, Dijon mustard, olive oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, and finely chopped rosemary. Whisk the mixture until well combined, then season it with salt and freshly ground black pepper according to your preference.

Coat the Salmon Fillets: Arrange the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet with the skin-side down. Using a brush or spoon, generously coat the top of each fillet with the maple glaze you just prepared to ensure each is well covered.

Add the Pecans: Evenly sprinkle the finely chopped pecans over the glazed salmon fillets. Gently press down on the pecans to make sure they adhere to the glaze and create a delightful crunchy topping.

Bake the Salmon: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes. The salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork, and its internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).

Optional Broil for Crispiness: If you desire a crispier pecan topping, switch your oven to the broil setting for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking. Remember to keep a close eye on the salmon to prevent the topping from burning.

Serving the Dish: Once cooked, carefully remove the salmon from the oven. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a touch of color and serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for a zesty squeeze over the salmon.

Enjoy Your Meal: Pair this flavorful salmon dish with steamed vegetables or a refreshing salad for a complete and satisfying meal.
