Ingredients

1 lb (450g) ground chicken

1/2 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 cup marinara sauce

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

12 slider buns

2 tbsp olive oil (for brushing)

Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C), ensuring it reaches the correct temperature for baking the sliders.

Prepare the Chicken Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Use your hands or a spoon to mix everything together thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

Form the Patties: Take the chicken mixture and divide it into 12 equal portions. Shape each portion into small patties that are slightly smaller than your slider buns to allow for easy assembly later.

Cook the Patties: Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. Add the chicken patties to the skillet and cook each side for about 4-5 minutes, or until they are golden brown and have reached an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). Once cooked, remove the patties from heat and set them aside.

Assemble the Sliders: In a baking dish, arrange the bottom halves of the slider buns. Place one cooked chicken patty on each bun. On top of each patty, spoon approximately a tablespoon of marinara sauce, followed by a generous sprinkle of shredded mozzarella cheese.

Add the Tops: Carefully place the top halves of the slider buns over the cheese-covered patties. To promote better browning and flavor, lightly brush the tops of the buns with olive oil.

Bake the Sliders: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil to keep moisture in, and bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the tops of the buns are golden brown.

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, remove the sliders from the oven and allow them to cool for a minute or two. If desired, finish with fresh basil leaves on top for a burst of color and flavor. Serve warm and enjoy your delightful Cheesy Chicken Parmesan Sliders!
