Ingredients

3 medium cucumbers, peeled and thinly sliced

1 cup plain Greek yogurt

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped (or 1 tablespoon of dried dill)

1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped

Fresh dill sprigs for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Cucumbers: Begin by placing the thinly sliced cucumbers into a colander. Sprinkle them lightly with salt to help extract their moisture. Allow the cucumbers to rest for about 15 to 20 minutes. Afterward, using paper towels, pat them dry thoroughly to remove excess moisture.

Make the Dressing: In a spacious mixing bowl, combine the plain Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, freshly chopped dill (or dried dill), lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, and a generous pinch of salt and black pepper. Whisk the mixture together until it becomes creamy and well blended.

Combine Ingredients: Carefully add the prepared sliced cucumbers and finely chopped red onion into the bowl containing the dressing. Using a spatula, gently fold the cucumbers and onion into the dressing, ensuring they are evenly coated without breaking the cucumber slices.

Chill the Salad: Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. This chilling time allows the flavors to blend beautifully and enhances the creaminess of the salad.

Serve the Salad: When you are ready to serve, take the salad out of the refrigerator and give it a gentle stir. Taste and adjust the seasoning with additional salt and pepper if required. For a lovely finishing touch, garnish the salad with fresh dill sprigs before serving.
