Ingredients

1 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup almond butter (or substitute with peanut butter)

1/3 cup honey or maple syrup

1 cup dried apples, finely chopped

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional for added crunch)

1/4 cup flaxseeds or chia seeds (optional for nutrition boost)

1/3 cup unsweetened shredded coconut (optional for texture and flavor)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt. Mix thoroughly to ensure the spices are evenly distributed among the oats.

Introduce the almond butter and honey (or maple syrup) into the dry mixture. Stir vigorously until the mixture becomes cohesive and sticky.

Gently fold in the chopped dried apples along with any optional ingredients: walnuts, flaxseeds, or shredded coconut. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated and evenly distributed.

With clean hands, take small portions of the mixture and roll them into balls about 1 inch in diameter. You should yield approximately 15-20 energy bites, depending on your preferred size.

Arrange the formed energy bites on a parchment-lined baking sheet or plate. Once all have been shaped, refrigerate them for at least 30 minutes to allow them to firm up and hold their shape.

Store the energy bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week or freeze them for extended storage.

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 45 minutes | Servings: 15-20 bites

                - Presentation Tips: Serve the energy bites in a decorative bowl and garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a few extra chopped nuts on top for visual appeal. Enjoy as a healthy snack or a quick energy boost!
